Unlike the new estates west of here, Beaconsfield has a proper canopy. Established gums and exotics shade a lot of the western glass, which means the raw heat and glare problem is milder than it is in Clyde North. What you get instead is dappled light, deeper shade close to the house, and rooms that stay cool and damp through winter. South facing rooms under a tree can hold moisture for weeks.
